Good morning, dear. Well, I got so into being excited about my new bedroom that I never ate. Again, not a good thing. This is not to say that I didn't DRINK any dinner. Again, that is bad. I probably had 3-4 glasses of red wine. I did have a Latte Jed - non-fat - which I think is around 150c. The salad at lunch was a grilled chicken with 260c, but I did put honey mustard sauce which was probably around another 150c. That puts me at about 860 for the day. I was having that familiar empty feeling this morning and was tempted to keep it longer - that concerned me, so I went and had a Breakfast Jack (JJJJack, JJJJack, JJJJack. Jack in the Box...You're really cookin' now!) That puppy had to be around 350-400. I'll check later.
I heard something from Dean Ornish this morning on the Oprah and Friends satellite radio. He said, "Stop thinking, if only...everything you have in your life is what you need to be happy." I figure we have that. We have decent health, a great sister, husbands who tolerate us, children that aren't in jail or on drugs and a way to make a living. We have the body we need, we just need to get the layers on top to shed and then we can continue with our life. Let's face it, we will still love each other even if we weigh 300 lbs, we just need to get to our best life. Right now that is a shedding process. We have what we need, we need to get rid of what we don't need. Gotta get back to work.....xoxo

OK, so I'm posting a comment. Haven't done that yet, but WHATever. Anyway, right on with everything is already in place to be happy, I agree totally. We just have to continue to focus on the positives and NOT FORGET that our bodies are temples and not only do we need to shed unnecessary coverings, but we need to protect the fuel needs, which protects the brain, which protects the soul. Right on sista! Anyway, I now get what you mean about the emptiness thing and about it being sort of pleasurable. I should have read the blog before posting, but then again, what sort of fun would THAT have been?! Hugs J
ReplyDeleteOh -- I forgot. Yesterday on F and Friends, a nutrition expert said that a breakfast sandwich has about 350 cals and lots of protein. A starbucks muffin has double the cals and fat. Ha! so you did good in 2 ways: making a good choice and not falling into the empty/pleasure thing. I'm proud of you. So......has the new bed been christened properly?
